CO2 Performance Ladder

CIMSOLUTIONS has been actively working on corporate social responsibility for several years. Since 2012, for example, we have been keeping track of the CO2 footprint for one of our clients, and in our offices we use renewable energy as much as possible.

We strongly value a cleaner and more livable environment and in 2015 we decided to increase our commitment to responsible energy use and increase our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. To this end, we use the CO2 performance ladder.

Reduction CO2 emissions

The CO2 performance ladder encourages companies that partake in tenders to be conscious of their energy usage and thus to reduce CO2 emissions. Think of examples such as saving energy, the efficient use of materials, and the use of renewable energy. The CO2 performance ladder has 5 levels. Since 6 May 2016, CIMSOLUTIONS is in possession of the certificate CO2-Conscious, level 5.

Targets

The management of CIMSOLUTIONS has formulated the following reduction targets: 7.5% CO2-reduction per employee in 2017 compared to 2014

Distributed among Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions:

Scope 1: 7% CO2-reduction per employee in 2017 compared to 2014.
This reduction target is related to gas use in offices and fuel use of vehicles.
Scope 2: 18% CO2-reduction per employee in 2017 compared to 2014.
This reduction target is related to electricity use in offices.
Scope 3: 
1.    End-to-end system analysis commuting of hired freelancers and partners.
10% CO2-reduction in 2018 compared to 2014 due to the commuting of hired freelancers and partners in scope 3, relative to sales.
2.    End-to-end system analysis of purchased office supplies.
5% CO2-reduction in 2018 compared to 2014 due to purchased office supplies, relative to the number of purchased computers.

Certificate

Since 6 May 2016, CIMSOLUTIONS is in possession of the certificate CO2-Conscious, level 5.

  • U-15
    CIMSOLUTIONS is an active member of U-15, participates in meetings and actively shares knowledge within the U-15 community Behavioral Change.

  • Dutch Climate Coalition
    CIMSOLUTIONS is a member of the Dutch Climate Coalition, a platform for entrepreneurs, employees, and interested parties to share their projects, events, and experiences. Initiators are Ministerie I&M, MVO Nederland, Klimaatverbond Nederland and Natuur & Milieu. The members of this coalition strive for climate neutrality of their business operations as soon as possible, and ultimately no later than 2050. CIMSOLUTIONS is committed to this.

  • Energy Convenant Vijfheerenlanden
    CIMSOLUTIONS has signed up for the first Energy Convenant Vijfherenlanden, and initiative by the municipality of Vianen and surrounding areas.
    CIMSOLUTIONS is joining a group of entrepreneurs in the Vianen region that are the first to sign the Energy Convenant Vijfherenlanden. They will commit themselves to energy saving or a reduction in CO2 emissions of at least 10% compared to 2015.
